Three Companies "Graduate" from Co-Working Space
October’s Catalyst Speed Mixer, held Tuesday evening included a special celebration. Apptegy, an education technology startup; Elyxor, a technology-based company; and bFonics, a marketing company leveraging beacon technology outgrew their co-working spaces at the Little Rock Technology Park @107 recently.
Part of the Venture Center’s mission is to commend those who have created a scalable business in Little Rock. Last night, the Venture Center joined with the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Little Rock Technology Park to celebrate the success of these two businesses and congratulate them on creating an economic impact in Little Rock.
Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO, Jay Chesshir welcomed the crowd to the Venture Center and talked about the impact of viable, scalable businesses growing in Little Rock.
He emphasized the strides these companies have made in the last 10 months, creating well-paying, knowledge-based jobs in Little Rock.
Catalyst is a monthly program that enables both companies and potential hires to find their match at the Venture Center. Catalyst is designed to showcase leading technology companies, startups, and professional talent in Little Rock and provide a place to hear area experts answer questions. This speed mixer portion of the program allots three minutes per round for participants to give short "elevator" pitches, which allows strong connections to be made in a stress-free environment within a short amount of time.
