Fostering Technology Entrepreneurs to Promote the Information Economy in Central Arkansas
Little Rock, Arkansas (PRWEB) September 22, 2014
The founders of Mainstream were delighted when the Arkansas Venture Center [Venture Center] announced its content programming to foster technology entrepreneurship and technical talent in Central Arkansas. Looking for ways to contribute, Mainstream chose to sponsor Code•IT! — a monthly, interactive workshop, designed to engage start-up entrepreneurs and developers with established business owners, product engineers and other experts. Sessions are slated the 4th Tuesday of each month. For more information, go to https://www.venturecenter.co/programs/codeit/
“We are thrilled to have the support of a flagship Little Rock-based company like Mainstream Technologies,” said Lee Watson, President of the Arkansas Venture Center. “Mainstream’s sponsorship demonstrates they understand the important role strong, established firms play in a community’s ability to grow a knowledge-based ecosystem. Programs like Code•IT are places where talented, technical people can feed off one another’s talent, creativity and support. By partnering with us, essentially, Mainstream is investing in Central Arkansas and in our ability to keep technical resources here, at home and develop stronger talent.”
For 18 years, Mainstream has been helping grow and improve the technology community in Central Arkansas, an industry with high paying jobs, so that people can stay and succeed instead of having to leave for more recognized technology hubs such as Austin, Nashville, or Silicon Valley. According to John Burgess, President: “We are proud to sponsor Code•IT through the Arkansas Venture Center. As a fellow start-up, we appreciate the challenges that new entrepreneurs face and recognize the advantages they gain by having access to these top-flight resources. We look forward to engaging with this generation of start-ups.”
