Name: Adrian Bond| Business: Embra

Welcome to our Spark! spotlight series, where we introduce you to the amazing entrepreneurs who are participating in our Spark! 2025 program with a quick Q&A! Spark! is a small business pre-accelerator that puts the right people, opportunities, and access in place for local entrepreneurs in Arkansas to grow their venture to the next level.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and what motivated you to join Spark!?

I’m Adrian Bond, an early-stage founder from Arkansas passionate about creating solutions that make challenging experiences easier for students and young professionals. I joined Spark! because I know the startup journey is tough to navigate alone, and I want to learn from experienced mentors while connecting with other entrepreneurs who are building with the same drive. My goal is to sharpen my foundation, grow alongside peers, and contribute to the innovation ecosystem here in Arkansas.

What are your short-term and long-term career goals, and how do you hope this program will help you achieve them?

Right now, I’m focused on bringing more law students onto Embra and making sure the platform reflects their real needs. We’re building it with them, not just for them using direct feedback to shape the MVP. At the same time, I’m building my local network and positioning myself to work on Embra full time, so I can dedicate everything to making it the platform students can’t live without.

Long term, our vision is for Embra to be the daily hub law students and schools rely on improving bar passage rates, reducing attrition, and giving schools real visibility into student well-being.

What is the most valuable piece of business advice you’ve been given?

The best advice I’ve been given is to build with your users, not just for them. It’s easy to get caught up in what you think the market needs, but the most valuable insights come from the people living the problem every day. That’s why with Embra, we’re sitting down with law students constantly — their feedback isn’t just input, it’s the foundation of what we’re building.

What is a professional achievement that you are most proud of and why?

One professional achievement I’m most proud of is taking the leap to start building Embra. In less than a year, I’ve been able to generate real interest from law students who want to use it and attorneys who are eager to serve as mentors once the platform is live. Even before the MVP is ready, we’ve built momentum and a community around the idea and that makes me proud because it shows the vision resonates and that I can rally people around it.
