Ray served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Deltic Timber Corporation from 2003 to 2016 and has over 40 years of experience in the paper and forest products industry. Prior to Deltic Timber, Ray served as Executive Vice President of Gaylord Container Corp. from 2000 to 2003. During his 25 years at Gaylord Container Corp., Ray rose from being a Process Engineer at the Bogalusa mill in Bogalusa, Louisiana to serving in a variety of executive-level roles. He serves as Board Member of the American Wood Council, the National Alliance of Forest Landowners, the Arkansas Forestry Association, the Arkansas State Chamber/ Associated Industries of Arkansas and the Quapaw Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Ray earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1977 and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago in 2000.
