Lee Watson is the founder, president & CEO of The Venture Center. As a Champion of the national Startup America initiative and leader of Startup Arkansas, Lee provides the vision and leadership for The Venture Center. He guides strategy and direction for the development of the organization and programs.

Jessica Johnston-Myers

Director of Programs & Operations

With an extensive background in sales, marketing and operations, Jessica is responsible for all Venture Center programming and operations efforts. She oversees program development as well as implementation and execution. Cookies are her spirit animal and she may have just begrudgingly adopted two newborn kittens.

John Foley

John Foley became interested in a banking career as a teenager while cleaning banks with his father's janitorial service.

Foley later worked as a teller en route to graduating with a bachelor's degree in finance from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston in 1985. He joined Landmark Bank in Fairview Heights, Ill., as a management trainee. In 1989, the native of Belleville, Ill., moved to Bank of America.

Foley worked in corporate loan review in St. Louis and commercial lending in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and became the local president in Lebanon, Mo.

He ended his 14 years with Bank of America in Little Rock as small business banking market manager for Arkansas and southern Missouri and later joined Little Rock's Metropolitan National Bank. He currently serves as the executive director of FRA Financial Group

John is a volunteer with the Ark-ansas Scholars Program and a member of the Downtown Development Partnership. Among his past civic work are Rotary International, Big Brother Big Sister and fund raising for the American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association.

Jennifer Freeman Thompson

Jennifer Freeman Thompson

Director of Marketing & Communications

With more than 15 years of marketing, communications and design experience, Jennifer oversees all of the Mar/Com efforts of the Venture Center. Jennifer enjoys cheering for her beloved Red Wolves, game nights at home with friends and seeing live music. She has never met a play on words or an ultra thin sans serif she didn't like.

Proxbox is a proximity-based marketing platform that combines small proximity sensors called beacons with a mobile application to enhance one’s interaction with their current environment and automatically saving and sending need-to-know content, documents, photos, videos to the agent/buyer's smartphone simply based on where they are physically located.
