The 2020 FIS Fintech Accelerator follows four highly successful programs produced by FIS and The Venture Center. This year’s Accelerator will be conducted entirely virtually and will include an additional six-week pre-accelerator, providing opportunities for greater collaboration and faster innovation for FIS customers.
In this series, we talk with FIS “Fintech Champions” who are working with this year’s cohort to help develop and bring their ideas to fruition. Here we feature a Q&A with Cindi S. Jackson, VP, content management at FIS, who is working with 2020 cohort member Cirrus Secure.

1. What challenges do you see today that fintech solutions could address?
Many companies are facing the challenge of transforming their organization from one that uses traditional business practices to one that is optimized through the utilization of automation. This type of technology can be challenging to install and adapt to, so simple, cloud-based solutions provided by fintechs can help solve this critical challenge by driving easy adoption through an organization.
2. What stands out about Cirrus Secure and why was it chosen to be a part of the 2020 FIS Fintech Accelerator?
Cirrus Secure has a unique solution that provides secure, simple connectivity between the customer and the lender, providing a streamlined approach to document exchange and tracking. The team at Cirrus Secure is focused on providing a solution for clients that drives efficiencies in the front and back office which is a similar goal to the content management solutions at FIS. As a former banker, Cirrus Secure CEO David Brooks has an insider’s understanding of the challenge’s organizations face reacting to changing business needs while complying with the regulatory bodies. The combination of focus on improving efficiencies for their clients and the expertise of its team really stood out and made Cirrus Secure a clear choice to be part of the FIS Accelerator.
3. How do you hope your involvement in the FIS Fintech Accelerator helps FIS’ clients?
FIS’ clients look to FIS to provide end-to-end solutions that will solve their business problems. The Cirrus Secure application can provide them a front-end portal for client document uploading and tracking. Integration with the FIS Content Management solution could help to drive further savings across loan operations.
