Equipifi Earns Audience Choice Award during FIS Fintech Accelerator Virtual Demo Day

Award presented after ten innovators virtually showcased emerging financial technologies, 

officially concluding the 2022 FIS Fintech Accelerator 

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Dec. 20, 2022) — FIS® and The Venture Center recently hosted a virtual showcase during which ten growth-stage companies presented video demonstrations of their financial technologies to an audience of more than 200 attendees. After demonstrations concluded, Equipifi, a fintech company providing banks and credit unions with a white label Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution, received the Audience Choice Award determined by popular vote. 

Other technologies showcased during the event included:

  • Connect Earth – Green environmental impact banking
  • Neural Payments – P2P (peer-to-peer) payments
  • Nickels – Credit card debt management for financial wellness 
  • Privacy Lock – Data privacy automation
  • Sardine – ACH money movement and crypto currency risk management
  • Sygno – Fraud transaction monitoring
  • Redactable – Cloud-based compliance
  • Tapcheck – Earned wage access for employee financial wellness
  • Themis – Regulatory compliance solutions

As a follow-up to the in-person FIS Accelerator Demo Day held on November 16 in Jacksonville, Florida, the virtual event expanded opportunities for accelerator cohort members to present their technologies to remote investors, bankers and fintech leaders and engage themthrough live chat and designated virtual networking spaces. Additionally, Governor Asa Hutchinson and Congressman French Hillgave short addresses to the virtual attendees. Their support exemplifies how private, state, and non-profit entities can work together to create solutions in the financial industry.

“Now in its seventh year, the FIS Fintech Accelerator has successfully helped more than 70 entrepreneurial innovators from across the globe gain access to a network of industry experts,” said Hamza Qadir, managing director of fintech programs for the Venture Center. “Partnerships make this possible. FIS and the State of Arkansas have been vital for ensuring collaboration between our organization, the financial services industry and field experts in order to continue advancing fintech solutions for real-world problems.” 

Hosted by The Venture Center, The FIS Fintech Accelerator program is presented by FIS Impact Ventures, which actively seeks new fintech startups, provides them with investment support, and nurtures their creative ideas to bring innovative technologies to FIS clients. A significant percentage of FIS clients interact with Accelerator cohorts each year.
