The Venture Center Finalist for Global Award

The Venture Center’s globally recognized fintech accelerator programs named finalist for Best Fintech Accelerator/Incubator award at world’s premier fintech conference

 LITTLE ROCK, Ark. August 20, 2019 – The Venture Center has been selected as a finalist in the Best Fintech Accelerator/Incubator category of the first annual Finovate Awards. Known across the globe as the pinnacle of fintech innovation, Finovate brings together thousands of fintech influencers, investors and financial services executives in order to showcase emerging industry solutions.

 “It’s an incredible honor to be one of only six finalists for an award of this magnitude,” said Wayne Miller, Executive Director of The Venture Center. “The Venture Center’s partnerships with the State of Arkansas; FIS, the world’s largest fintech; and the ICBA, the US’s largest community bank association have been critical to our continued growth and we’re grateful for the opportunity to help provide solutions where technology is pivotal in the quest to help our stakeholders and partners. Being a finalist for this award shows the world that Little Rock, Arkansas is truly blazing a path for fintech innovation on a global scale.”

A panel of industry judges will select the winner of the Best Fintech Accelerator/Incubator award based on alumni market performance and alumni testimonials. The winner will be an accelerator or incubator that consistently nurtures quality fintech companies and helps them on their journey.

We’re also proud of the programs our team has built and we will continue to accelerate innovation in the financial services industry. We’re excited to see what the future holds for fintech.”

Founded in 2015, The Venture Center has developed a globally recognized fintech accelerator series, drawing applicants from over 50 countries. In July 2019, The Venture Center and FIS announced their fifth FIS Fintech Accelerator slated to begin in the spring of 2020. Just last week, the Independent Community Bankers Association (ICBA) also announced ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator 2.0, their second accelerator in partnership with The Venture Center which is currently accepting applications for the ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator scheduled for January 2020 launch.

To date, The Venture Center has worked with 48 early stage fintech companies, 90% of which are still active or have been acquired, and boast an average capital raise per company of $2.1 Million. Four recent Finovate “Best of Show” winners also graduated from FIS and ICBA fintech accelerators.
