The Venture Center Names New Accelerator Program Manager

Experienced Innovator Hamza Qadir to Produce Fintech Accelerators

August 20, 2020 – Little Rock, AR. – The Venture Center is proud to announce new hire Hamza Qadir, who has taken the role of Program Manager, Fintech Accelerators. In this role, Hamza will work closely with the most promising fintech founders and the world’s top financial services industry leaders seeking innovation to better serve their customers.

“I’m thrilled to bring top-tier fintech companies from around the globe to world-class organizations,” said Qadir. “My background as both an entrepreneur and an innovation agent has prepared me for this challenge, and The Venture Center is the best organization doing this work.”

Wayne Miller, The Venture Center’s executive director, shared his confidence in Hamzar’s leadership ability and understanding of the financial technology landscape.

“Hamza has demonstrated a talent working within the fintech entrepreneurial space,” said Miller. “His passion for innovation paired with his entrepreneurial spirit make him a natural. I’m excited to see how his efforts will advance our clients’ missions.”

The Venture Center’s globally recognized accelerators are among the best in the world. After two successful accelerators, The Venture Center recently renewed a three-year commitment with the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and is currently executing the fifth fintech accelerator for FIS, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic fintech companies.

Qadir immigrated from Karachi, Pakistan, to southern Arkansas, where he later began pursuing a career in healthcare. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Arkansas and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences, which eventually led him to healthcare-focused entrepreneurship. He launched a small startup focused on medical scribing and transcription services and later worked as Change Agent for Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. At Blue Cross Blue Shield, Hamza served as the business and innovations lead for global clients, including Walmart, Tyson, and J.B. Hunt.
