Arkansas leading the way between bankers and fintech leaders

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 28, 2022) –- The Venture Center announced today Governor Asa Hutchinson will join FIS Chairman and CEO Gary Norcross for a candid discussion about Arkansas’ role in the global fintech space during the inaugural VenCent Summit in Little Rock on Tuesday, August 16.

Hosted by The Venture Center, an Arkansas nonprofit inspiring social and economic change locally and abroad, VenCent will bring together financial leaders, innovators, and influencers from around the world for industry keynotes, 70 live demos, and unlimited networking. Hutchinson and Norcross will close their discussion by sharing their vision for the future and Arkansas’ position as a global leader in fintech.

“Governor Hutchinson and Mr. Norcross have had a pivotal impact on the fintech space in our state and around the world,” says Wayne Miller, executive director of The Venture Center. “Their partnership and investment, especially through the award-winning FIS Fintech Accelerator, provide real world examples of how private, state, and non-profit entities can work together to create solutions in the financial industry, and how that landmark work can happen here in Arkansas and in any other state around the country.”
