The Venture Center Opens Applications for Just-Launched Veteran-Owned Small Business Accelerator

In partnership with the Arkansas Small Business Administration, the accelerator program
promises veterans critical entrepreneurial tools, mentorship, and resources

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 19, 2023) – The Venture Center, in partnership with the U.S. Small
Business Administration, SBA Arkansas District Office, today announced applications are open
for the Veteran-Owned Small Business Accelerator. This initiative is a new statewide program to
accelerate the growth of Arkansas businesses founded by U.S. military veterans.
The Venture Center, utilizing its established business-centric accelerator model and robust
entrepreneurial resources are dedicated to aiding veterans in expanding their business ventures.
With the backing of the SBA Arkansas District Office and various public and private sector
partners, the newly launched accelerator is tailored to meet the distinct needs of veteran-owned
businesses, facilitating their journey to sustained success and paying tribute to their military
service to our nation.

“At The Venture Center, we recognize the immense contributions that veterans bring to the
business world,” said Daniel Schutte, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at The Venture
Center. “Through this accelerator program, we aim to honor their service by equipping them with
the skills and support necessary to build successful businesses. By partnering with the SBA
Arkansas District Office, we’re providing a comprehensive platform that addresses the unique
challenges and opportunities that this group of entrepreneurs faces.”
Interested veteran entrepreneurs can apply by visiting venturecenter.co and submitting their
business proposals. Selected participants will have the opportunity to engage in a rigorous
curriculum that covers topics ranging from business strategy and marketing to finance and
growth planning. The program will culminate in a showcase event where participants can
present their business ideas to potential investors, mentors, and partners.

Program advisor and consultant Rick Daniels of Arkansas Employment Career Center (AECC)

emphasizes the commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and economic growth within the

veteran community. The SBA’s expertise and resources combined with The Venture Center’s
innovation ecosystem will create a dynamic environment that facilitates learning, collaboration,
