Name: Roshonda Franklin | Business/Profession: Owner, Limitless Financials, LLC

Please share a little about your background, personally and/or professionally.

Personally, my journey has been one of resilience and determination. As a teen mom at 17, I overcame challenges to graduate college, raise a thriving family, and pursue multiple entrepreneurial ventures. I’ve started and closed businesses, filed for bankruptcy twice, gone through divorce and learned invaluable lessons along the way. I have three grown daughters who is why I started my business. I hold the designation of Enrolled Agent, which allows me to represent taxpayers before the IRS, and I specialize in tax debt resolution, financial management, and budgeting. I thrive on helping small business owners navigate their finances, stay compliant, and grow profitable businesses.

Please share about your business, where it’s located, and what led you to starting it.

Limitless Financials is located in Central AR and virtually which allows me to serve clients nationwide. I started my business because I was a newly divorced mom with three daughters. My parents didn’t live close and even though I had other family members, I didn’t want to rely on them to babysit my children all the time while I worked a part time job, so I had to figure out something that I could do from home. My mom taught me how to prepare taxes at the age of 16 and when I went to work for a local company, this was my entry into the field and thus my business was born.

Limitless Financials isn’t just a tax company, it’s my ministry to help others succeed. Being a single parent, divorced and overcoming other challenges has always led me to give back and be more than just a tax professional. I am human first and so the majority of my clients have been with me more than 10 years and they are like family.

What goals do you hope to achieve for your business during your time in VCWoman Achieve?

My hope is to receive guidance and actionable advice that will help me elevate my business to new heights. I expect honest feedback and constructive criticism to challenge me and push me outside of my comfort zone. I’m looking for a mentor who can provide valuable insights from their own experiences, help me set and achieve ambitious goals, and hold me accountable throughout the process. Additionally, I expect to build a strong relationship based on trust and open communication, where I can freely discuss challenges and opportunities. Ultimately, I hope to gain both professional and personal growth through this mentorship.

What drew you to being part of a mentorship group specifically curated for non-men? How has being a woman or non-binary individual impacted your journey as an entrepreneur?

I was drawn to the mentorship group because even with over 15 years of business experience and 2+ years as a full-time entrepreneur, I know there’s always room to grow. I’m seeking fresh perspectives and new strategies to push my business to the next level. I value the accountability and goal-setting that come with having a mentor, as well as the opportunity to learn from someone who has already navigated challenges I may face. Sometimes women need a space where they can be vulnerable and not feel as if they have to compete with men. Many women business owners have their own struggles personal and professional and being in a program with men and women can hinder a woman especially when asked certain questions.

What are three things you enjoy doing outside of work?

1. Travel 2. Reading 3. Journal making/crafting

What is your favorite part about being an entrepreneur?

I love the flexibility of being an entrepreneur. When my daughter broke her ankle in 2023, I was able to be with her for a month a time, take her to doctor appointments, etc. If I was in Corporate America, I wouldn’t have been able to do that especially since she lives in another state.
