Spark! is a small business pre-accelerator that puts the right people, opportunities, and access in place for local entrepreneurs in Arkansas to grow their venture to the next level.
Can you tell us a little about yourself and what motivated you to join Spark!?
I am in the beginning stages of getting my business off the ground, and I believe Spark! will provide me with skills necessary to do so.
What are your short-term and long-term career goals, and how do you hope this program will help you achieve them?
Short-term, I would like to open my pharmacy within the next year. Long-term, I hope to have a thriving business with multiple employees. I believe the information in Spark! will be useful for both startup and growth.
What is the most valuable piece of business advice you’ve been given?
To have something in addition to the compounding to bring people in. People may not always need a compounded medication, but if I offer other goods/services, it will give them other reasons to come in.
What is a professional achievement that you are most proud of and why?
Earning my PhD in Toxicology. It was the scariest thing I could imagine doing, but I did it.
