A blend of classic gameplay with modern cybersecurity training is set for October 6-8 at the
UALR campus in Little Rock
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 6, 2023) – The Venture Center today announced the return of the JOLT Cyber Challenge, marking its eighth year by blending classic video game nostalgia with cutting-edge cybersecurity challenges. This Jeopardy-style event is scheduled for October 6th to 8th on the UALR campus.
Teams of four are now invited to sign up for this immersive experience at venturecenter.co/JOLT and dive into a realm where the iconic vibes of Mario, Sonic, and Castlevania merge seamlessly with real-world cyber expertise.
Having drawn over 130 competitors in its last competition, the JOLT Cyber Challenge is projected to host over 150 enthusiasts this year. Facilitated by expert game makers, including lead game maker Christopher Wright of Sullivan Wright Technologies, this event will deliver challenges that cater to participants across various technical proficiency levels.

Competitors can expect to grapple with challenges from web vulnerabilities, reverse engineering, code-breaking, and more. This year’s participation fee is $75 per team member ($50 for students), and early registrants will receive an exclusive JOLT T-shirt.
