At FIS, innovation never stops.
And its importance is elevated in times of crisis because it’s a foundation for solving new challenges.
Never has this been more evident than this year, our fifth at the FIS FinTech Accelerator.
In partnership with The Venture Center, we were deep into the process of selecting our 2020 cohort companies…when Covid-19 hit. Like most of the world, we shut everything down.
After a brief pause, we pivoted…quickly. In just days, more than 95% of FIS’ 55,000 employees across 52 countries were back up and running…all virtually. Without missing a beat, we were again advancing the way the world pays, banks and invests. Only this time, even better. Especially at the Accelerator.
In addition to standing up a dynamic virtual experience, we also added a Pre-Accelerator phase that gives our participating companies a head start developing impactful use cases and ideas together with FIS executives…leading to even faster commercialization for them and our clients.
We couldn’t be more excited about how this year’s program has come together.
The 2020 cohort is a global fleet of emerging technology companies from Istanbul and Singapore to India and New York. As a group, they are advancing digital platforms and contactless commerce by leveraging advanced technologies from biometrics to no-code development and real-time data. They are spurring new products and solutions at a rate we’ve never seen.
Because of exciting companies like these, the FIS Fintech Accelerator program has reached global preeminence status. Alumni of the program are winning prestigious awards, raising millions in funding and making material impact on our industry. And in many ways, just getting started.
