Spark! Meet the Founder | Kissa Kimble of Elite Recruiting
Welcome to our Spark! Meet the Founder series, where we introduce you to the amazing entrepreneurs who are participating in our Spark! 2021 program with a quick Q&A!
Spark! is a small business pre-accelerator that puts the right people, opportunities, and access in place for local entrepreneurs in Arkansas to grow their venture to the next level.
Please meet Kissa Kimble, founder of Elite Recruiting! Elite Recruiting matches Class A CDL Drivers with career tractor-trailer opportunities.
The Venture Center: Why did you become an entrepreneur?
Kimble: I didn’t actually plan to become an entrepreneur. When Elite Recruiting came to me, I was a mom of 2 working 14 hours a day. When I did take a leap of faith on the opportunity, it was so I could spend more time with my family and also make enough money to live a better lifestyle.
TVC: What problem does your business solve?
Kimble: Elite Recruiting helps to solve the driver shortage that we experience in America. I’m also helping truckers have access to a human resource that is skilled to fit their needs as a truck driver.
TVC: What are your hopes for your future as an entrepreneur?
Kimble: I hope to attract and retain top-notch connections and investors. I want to see Elite Recruiting grow, seek financial stability and be efficient in all areas of my business.
TVC: What are you most proud of and/or what is your biggest challenge in your entrepreneurial journey?
Kimble: My biggest challenge is competing with major trucking carriers’ recruiting departments. Since I received the business before planning, I did not have seed money to make the major investments needed.
I am mostly proud of the success I’ve been able to accomplish as a small business. It is not easy being a mom and running a work from home business full time!
Huge thanks to Kissa Kimble for participating in Spark! We can’t wait to see your business grow! Sign up for our newsletter and follow The Venture Center on social media to keep up with our Spark! 2021 cohort!
