The FIS Fintech Accelerator in partnership with the Venture Center brings bankers, subject matter experts, and financial service executives together with pre-vetted, market-validated fintech companies to advance the financial services industry. We are so excited to introduce you to an ongoing series of meetings with the incredible alumni of our accelerator, and the impact they’re making today in the fintech industry.

Describe the growth or change your company experienced over the course of the program and the role of the Accelerator in assisting with that growth/change-what was your starting/ending point, did you create new products, modify your roadmap, execute new bank deals, etc.

Gave us access to get feedback from banks Allowed us to identify areas that we should dedicate resources and how to identify our competitive advantage after speaking with banks Met with subject matter experts in our space that provided valuable thoughts on our product roadmap and pricing strategies.

What did you find most valuable about the bank visits?

Understanding their needs from a compliance standpoint Expanding my network Learning about how they think through new partnerships with fintech partners and due diligence.

How did you collaborate and/or connect with other cohort companies and how did those connections help your company?

Met amazing people Broadened my view on how to interact with banks and their needs Have explored partnerships with other members of the cohort.

What advice would you give to banks thinking about visiting the program? (i.e., how do you think a visit can benefit a banks)

Learn about what new companies are in the ecosystem Get a head start on meeting and partnering with exciting fintechs (this early sneak preview is huge for banks to know innovative tech before it’s widespread) Obtain better pricing since they get exposure early and can help shape the tech (fintech founders find value with feedback and banks get to provide input during development stages to help address pain points).
