The Venture Center: What major changes has your company experienced throughout this year-long program?

Wendy & Jill:

Our business has grown with increased sales and traffic, catering, and community involvement. We were recognized for several awards. Due to the success of this year, we have outgrown our space so we are expanding into a second location.

What value has the mentorship program brought to you both personally and professionally?

Building relationships and the opportunity to network with like-minded women entrepreneurs has been invaluable.

What’s your favorite piece of advice that you received while in this program?

Network. Use your resources by reaching out to other mentors and mentees.

What advice would you give to those interested in applying for this program?

Do it! This program is a wealth of information. Not only through your assigned mentor, but fellow mentees, their mentors and the VC leadership. Every one of us has a unique story and path that led us to entrepreneurship. Your connections and experience may benefit someone else and vise versa.
