We are so excited to introduce you to an ongoing series where we celebrate the success and achievements of the amazing members of Woman Achieve. Anika Dixon one of our mentors!

The Venture Center: What inspired you to participate in this program?

Anika Dixon:

I’ve been very fortunate to celebrate 19 years in business as of NOV 2023 and have had so many “business angels” encouraging, watching over, and supporting me over these years, I wanted to be the same for another woman in business.

What value has the mentorship program brought to you both personally and professionally?

This program has connected two women in very different businesses and overall stories to become like family not only for one another, but our families understand and place value on the relationship we have formed. Sam knows she can reach out for professional and personal ANYTIME she wants or needs to and I’m there as she is there for me also.

What growth have you seen in both your mentee and yourself throughout this program?

We have grown to know trust, support, and understand being a “silent partner” can be much more valuable than just a financial pouring into a business.

What advice would you give to those interested in applying for this program?

If you have been “accidentally mentoring” – allow the time, energy, and deliberate relationship building for other women in business as you will not regret it! I’ve not only formed a relationship with my mentee, Samantha Stewart, but have been fortunate to form relationships with other mentees.
